The England Amputee Football Association (EAFA) is a charity run organisation whose aim is to provide all amputees, people with congenital limb deficiencies and persons with restricted use of limbs, with the opportunity to play football locally, nationally and internationally. The organisation is run solely on donations and sponsorships.
Niall, our Graduate Sports Rehabilitator, has been working with in amputee football for over a year now. He works as part of the medical team providing treatments, rehab and prehab programmes, leading recovery sessions, providing pitchside game cover, alongside other work within the charity.
The senior team are currently in preparations for the European championships next September in Krakow, Poland. After coming second in the last Europeans, after a last-minute goal from Turkey, the team are ready to go one step further and try win and become European championships.
