What to Expect at your Initial Consultation
During a 60 minute session we’ll discuss your current injury or problem,
- including what your symptoms are and what makes you feel better and worse. We’ll ask about previous injuries, any other medical conditions, and your daily activities such as work, sports and hobbies to help us to determine what’s contributing to your problem. We’ll also review any special tests (x-rays, CT scans etc.) that you’ve had.
- We’ll then do a physical assessment and biomechanical exam to assess your movement and problem areas. Along with your history, this will help us to determine the cause of your pain and how to treat it most effectively.
- We’ll discuss our findings with you and create a treatment plan.
- You will receive treatment during the initial consultation.
- Some work and exercises to do away from treatments to assist in your recovery
- A plan about follow-up visits. Your therapist will recommend how many treatments will be needed to treat your injury or problem.
